ACE COMBAT 8 Online Errors & ST-3100001 Help
Fix the right problem in ACE COMBAT ONLINE: follow official ST-3100001 clock guidance, check PC requirements, and separate matchmaking failures from crashes.

For ST-3100001 on PC, the official first check is to synchronize Windows time and try again. For slow or failed matchmaking, also check the supported PC environment. If the application closes with Error 01, use the PC crash guide instead.
Last reviewed: October 18, 2026. The notices below describe known issues and checks; this page does not display live server status or certify that a pending fix has shipped. Windows steps apply to PC, not PS5 or Xbox.

Choose the matching symptom
| Symptom | Next step |
|---|---|
| ST-3100001 while the game stays open | Synchronize Windows time, then retest |
| Lobby works but a mission will not start | Check the October 9 matchmaking guidance and record the failing stage |
| Mid-mission disconnect or another ST/WP code | Save the exact code; do not assume it has the same cause as ST-3100001 |
| Error 01 or a crash to desktop | Follow the PC crash and memory checks |
| Several apps lose Internet access | Start with local network troubleshooting |

ST-3100001: synchronize Windows time
The September 30 official notice associates ST-3100001 with loss of communication with the game server and asks PC players to check for a clock discrepancy, synchronize Windows time and retest. It does not say that every occurrence is caused by the clock.
- Close the game and open Settings → Time & language → Date & time.
- Turn on Set time automatically. Check the date and time zone; automatic time-zone selection is useful only if it selects your actual zone. See Microsoft's date/time controls.
- Under Additional settings, choose Sync now and check that synchronization succeeds. Microsoft also describes this control in its clock-check instructions. We use that clock step here, not the article's Windows Update repair procedures.
- Relaunch AC8 and try the same online action. Note whether the code disappears, changes, or returns at the same stage.
If synchronization fails, resolve that Windows/network issue before treating the game test as a successful clock check. On a managed PC, do not override administrator-controlled time settings. If synchronization succeeds but the error remains, keep the result and continue below; repeated clock toggling is not evidence of progress.
Matchmaking or mission loading does not complete
The October 9 matchmaking notice acknowledges difficulty establishing missions in some environments. It identifies unsupported PC environments as one possible factor and specifically asks players to use Windows 11 and install the game on an SSD.
Check those conditions against the official system requirements. They are a supported baseline, not a guarantee that every queue will succeed. The notice also says update timing and contents will be announced once finalized; it is not a release note proving the issue is resolved.
Our diagnostic sequence:
- Record the stage: signing in, entering the lobby, searching for a mission, selecting an aircraft or loading into the mission. Include any loading percentage and how long it stayed there.
- Check whether Windows 11 and SSD installation apply to your PC. Record the result instead of assuming a graphics-setting change will repair matchmaking.
- After completing pending game/platform updates, restart the game and repeat the same action once. Compare the stage and code with the previous attempt.
- Check the official news feed for a newer incident or maintenance notice. If it names an active service issue, follow its timing rather than making unrelated system changes.
A working campaign or lobby does not establish that a match can connect. Conversely, a failed queue alone does not prove a global outage. This page cannot infer server health from your individual attempt.
Disconnects and other error codes
Keep the entire code, including its prefix and all digits. The ST-3100001 notice does not establish definitions or fixes for ST-3100005, ST-3200001 or other ST/WP codes. We do not label those as a ban, a specific port failure or a clock error without matching official evidence.
For a general connection check, Microsoft recommends testing the network connection and troubleshooting Wi-Fi. Compare another app or device on the same connection; if available, try Ethernet to distinguish Wi-Fi trouble. Restarting a router interrupts everyone using it, so do that only when appropriate. These are network isolation steps, not AC8-specific fixes.
Record whether a VPN or proxy is active and whether the failure also occurs on your normal connection. Avoid disabling the firewall or antivirus, opening arbitrary ports, or installing unofficial “error fix” downloads just because a code looks familiar. The reviewed notices do not prescribe those actions.
PS5 and Xbox players
Use the console's network test, check pending game/system updates, and consult PlayStation service status or Xbox service status. Those pages describe platform services; they are not a complete status feed for AC8 matchmaking.
The PC notices about Windows 11, time synchronization and paging files do not provide console procedures. Record the console model, full error code, connection type and failing stage. If several players are affected at the same time, preserve the time and time zone for comparison without assuming every player has the same cause.
Record the failure before changing more settings
Use this checklist to make the next comparison useful:
Platform and game build:
Local date, time and time zone:
Exact error code and complete message:
Failing stage (login / lobby / matchmaking / loading / in mission):
Connection type and whether other apps work:
Windows 11 and SSD check (PC only):
Time synchronization succeeded? (PC / ST-3100001):
VPN/proxy in use, if any:
Change tested, and whether the code or failing stage changed:
Keep screenshots with the code and stage visible; remove personal account details before sharing publicly. Consult the linked official announcements for updates. This fan site does not collect diagnostic reports or credentials.
Are the ACE COMBAT 8 servers down right now?
This is a dated troubleshooting guide, not a live status monitor. Check current official announcements and your platform's service-status page. A single disconnect does not prove a global outage.
Does synchronizing the clock fix every online error?
No. It is the official first check for ST-3100001 on PC. If it succeeds but the error remains, record that result; other codes and console issues need their own evidence.
Is Error 01 the same as ST-3100001?
Do not combine them. A crash that closes the PC game belongs in the crash guide; the official ST-3100001 notice concerns lost communication with the game server.
Continue to PC crashes and Error 01, the game overview or the guide library.
