For Mission 2, Nomad, separate a score shortfall from a slow finish before changing your entire loadout. This dossier provides a small, attributed reference and a way to evaluate your own result. It is not an independently tested walkthrough or a promise of an S rank.

Target order and equipment

StormXTS suggests multi-target air missiles for groups and checking non-TGT opportunities before the final bomber targets end the mission. The same guide is uncertain about the exact optional ace trigger. We do not turn that uncertain trigger into a checklist requirement.

For your next attempt, choose one question to test: whether nearby optional targets improve your score without disrupting the required objective, or whether a different weapon reduces the time spent on groups. Keep the rest of the setup similar. Changing the plane, several parts and the route at once makes the result harder to interpret.

This is a debrief method, not a claim that a particular plane is mathematically optimal. Protecting the mission objective comes before chasing a hypothetical score margin. If an optional detour repeatedly leads to failure, it is not a useful farming route merely because its best attempt was fast.

How to review an unsuccessful attempt

Start with the score recorded by the game, the result time, the actual rank, and whether you retried a checkpoint. Keep the score field distinct from MRP. If a number already includes a time bonus, adding another bonus would count it twice.

The useful question is not simply “Was I fast?” It is “How much bonus would this score need to reach the listed target?” If even the largest listed bonus is insufficient, shortening the run alone cannot bridge that gap in this reference model. If the needed bonus fits inside the possible range, the timing or the model's unknown conditions still matter.

Two worked scenarios, not recorded playthroughs

Consider a hypothetical destruction score of 13,000. Even under the full-bonus reference, the resulting total is 15,400. That leaves 600 points missing. This arithmetic suggests investigating additional scoring opportunities instead of assuming a slightly faster finish will solve everything. It does not identify which targets you actually missed.

Now consider 14,000 destruction points. At 9:30, the published full-bonus bracket would give a total of 16,400. At 12:30, we cannot responsibly assert the same total: that time falls inside the decay interval. The tool therefore shows 14,000–16,400, not an invented midpoint. The range straddles the target, so the diagnostic remains uncertain.

These are deliberately different outcomes. A number above a reference threshold is still conditional on the source being applicable to the game build and run. Compare the actual result rather than interpreting the upper bound as guaranteed points.

Save what the game actually awarded

The flight log can prefill the mission name; it does not prefill an S rank or save the diagnostic as a completed run. Enter the actual result after the game finishes. Useful notes include your aircraft, weapon, platform, visible game build and what changed between attempts.

Does a high destruction score guarantee S rank?

No. This page compares a community reference under a limited scope. Unsupported conditions, patch differences or an incorrect source can invalidate that comparison.

Can I use this for another difficulty or a checkpoint retry?

Not as a reliable prediction. The diagnostic rejects those conditions instead of silently applying the Ace / Free Mission reference.

For the shared method, read S-rank requirements and time-bonus interpretation. The mission library lists only dossiers actually published.
