ACE COMBAT 8 Mission 7 S-Rank Score Guide

Review Mission 7 community score targets, understand its narrow reported time-bonus interval, and compare completed attempts without guessing decay values.

Mission 7, A Lifeline in the Desert, has a particularly narrow time-bonus interval in the community table. Treat that as a reason to separate destruction score from bonus assumptions, not as proof of a measured one-minute linear curve. The diagnostic shows only what the available reference can support.

Keep the route discussion evidence-based

StormXTS describes using gunfire on solar panels and leaving the northeastern hardened depots late in the route. Treat that as an attributed approach, not an established optimum for every aircraft or player. We have not measured a per-target value table or an end-to-end route of our own.

For a useful personal comparison, divide your attempt into broad segments and note where time disappeared: travelling, lining up another pass, or repeatedly attacking the same target. Then change one segment while holding the rest of the setup steady. That is our suggested debrief method rather than a claim about an undocumented game mechanic.

A route with a higher peak score but frequent failures may not serve your goal better than a repeatable one. Keep complete attempts in your log so that a single strong result does not erase the cost of the unsuccessful attempts around it.

Start with the score gap

The reference target is 53,000 and the listed maximum bonus is 8,000. Their difference is 45,000. At that destruction score, the full listed bonus would only bring the total to the target, leaving no margin for any reduction or source mismatch.

With 44,000 destruction points, even the maximum produces only 52,000. In that hypothetical scenario, a faster finish alone cannot reach the listed target within this model. It is more useful to investigate scoring opportunities than to shave seconds while expecting an impossible bonus.

With 46,000 destruction points, the full-bonus scenario becomes 54,000. That looks sufficient against the table, but the result still depends on the bonus actually awarded and any rules this implementation does not cover. A conditional arithmetic comparison is not the game's rank calculation.

Why a short interval does not justify interpolation

The reported start is 15:10, and the reported zero point is 16:10. The fact that those endpoints are one minute apart does not establish whether the interior changes continuously, in steps, or with special rounding. There is no verified curve in this dataset.

For 46,000 destruction points at 15:40, the diagnostic therefore returns 46,000–54,000. It does not insert a convenient 4,000 halfway bonus. At 15:00, it uses the source's maximum-bonus scenario; at 16:11, it uses the zero-bonus scenario. Exact boundary behaviour remains untested.

Do not use the upper bound as if it were a result you earned. The upper value means only that the selected reference permits that maximum. A range crossing the target remains unresolved.

Why there is no Orcus checkbox on this page yet

The first collection release is intentionally partial. The reviewed descriptions do not yet give us a reconciled target definition for Mission 7's chain-reaction condition, so this page does not publish a definitive trigger or a map coordinate. An omitted entry is a research gap, not a claim that Orcus does not exist.

Use the original collection sources for that investigation. We will not convert a broad description into an exact tank position or assume that any explosion is sufficient.

Use destruction score from the completed run. Do not enter MRP, total rewards, or a score already including a time bonus.

Reference target: 53,000 · Maximum bonus: 8,000 · 15:10–16:10

The tool accepts Ace / Free Mission with an explicit no-retry confirmation. It rejects other conditions rather than subtracting a guessed penalty. The data acknowledgement is required, and changing an input clears the previous result.

Save the actual outcome

Record Mission 7 with the actual rank, destruction score and result time. Note your chosen route and any resupply or retry history. A diagnostic result will never be inserted into the rank field automatically.

Is the time bonus exactly half at 15:40?

That has not been established. The tool returns bounds instead of inventing a midpoint value.

Does this page contain a tested full-map clearing route?

No. It combines attributed community reference values with original score analysis and a record-keeping method. It does not claim independent gameplay verification.
